Staff were super friendly while ambience was nice. Unfortunately, the food were very poor in quality and quantity. The amount of ingredients were meagre, the lala were minuscule and the fish cakes were extremely thinly sliced. Taste was actually not bad. Do note that there is 20% discount during dinner. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tried their new Bugis outlet after enjoying the one at Sun Plaza, and it didn’t disappoint. The stir-fried white noodles still carry that distinct wok hey aroma — simple but very satisfying. Other dishes like the tomato tofu and garlic chicken were also well-executed, with comforting, home-style flavours. The space is clean and nicely done up, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal. Tried the newly opened second outlet of The Home 回味之家 and it really lives up to its name — comforting, hearty, and very easy to enjoy. Prices are very friendly too, around $15+ per person, with good variety and solid flavours across the dishes. Standouts for me were the 姜蓉鸡 Sautéed Ginger Chicken (super fragrant and very rice-friendly), 芭辣啦啦 Belachan Clams, and 姜葱熏虾 Sautéed Smoked Prawns. The 回味鸡翅 The Home Wings were also dangerously snackable. You can tell the menu is thoughtfully put together, and it feels like honest, home-style cooking rather than overly commercialised flavours. They also offer value lunch sets, which make it a great option for weekday work lunches. Special mention to Ah Yew for the seamless and warm service. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole dining experience even more pleasant. Service like that turns a good meal into a place you want to return to.
