プラタにハマり、噂のお店と言うことで来ましたが、、美味しかったんだけど食器が汚い。。使い込みすぎて捨てるレベルです…。ま、安いからいいんだけど…。

As part of our regular cycling excursions, Kitty and I, along with our group of friends, made a stop at The Roti Prata House on Upper Thomson Road for an early breakfast. This establishment is well known for serving high-quality local fare, and in terms of the food itself, it did not disappoint. The "kosong" (plain) prata was exceptionally crispy, and both the coffee and tea were remarkably flavourful and robust. However, the service on this occasion was somewhat of a setback. Although the staff attempted to be efficient by taking our group's entire order at once, there were several oversights. We placed our order for pratas and drinks at 7:05 am, yet while the drinks and plain pratas arrived promptly, the egg pratas were missing. Despite a reminder at 7:35 am, they only finally graced our table at 7:45 am. Furthermore, we had specifically requested fish curry, but the waiter inadvertently brought chicken curry instead. To avoid any unnecessary waste, we decided to keep the chicken curry, though it was a slight disappointment at the time. When the egg pratas did eventually arrive, they were admittedly very nice and well prepared. While the food remains a strong draw for any cycling group, the service could certainly benefit from better attention to detail during the morning rush. It remains a good spot for a hearty meal, provided one has a bit of patience for the service. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
