オリジナルのチョコレートやワイン、タイグッズなどを販売している、Peninsula Boutique で日本からのゲストへのお土産によくクッキーを購入します。パッケージも高級感があり喜んでもらってます。 場所は正面から入って右側の階段を下り、右側の通路にあります。

My dinner at Thiptara fell well below what I would expect from a Peninsula property. There were multiple issues with both the food and service, which cumulatively made the evening very disappointing. These included a course being served while I was still eating the previous one, food that was cold, poorly textured and did not match the description on the menu, a main course that did not appear to contain all of the ingredients described, dessert that was effectively inedible, advertised petit fours not being served, difficulty getting the attention of staff, water not being brought promptly, my table lamp needing to be replaced twice, and being rushed through the meal because the kitchen was closing despite the restaurant’s advertised opening hours. What is particularly frustrating is that, following my feedback, which I chose to share privately and directly with the F&B manager at The Peninsula, the hotel carried out a detailed review with the culinary team and explicitly acknowledged that several elements of the meal did not meet the standards expected at Thiptara and The Peninsula Bangkok. They also acknowledged that the service levels were not as they should have been and outlined a number of corrective actions they are now putting in place. However, I had to follow up several times to get a response addressing the resolution of my own experience. When one was eventually offered, it was a complimentary meal back in Bangkok. This felt particularly tone-deaf given that they are aware I am based in London (and I had specifically raised London as a possible way of making a meaningful gesture). After a lengthy exchange, the proposed resolution did not meaningfully address the guest experience or reflect the shortcomings that the hotel itself had acknowledged. For a five-star hotel and a brand I have previously held in very high regard, both the experience itself and the handling of my feedback have been very disappointing. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
