Was wandering around the streets near my hotel in Sukhumvit when I stumbled upon a modest little spot — ท่องกี่ภัตตาคาร-Thong Kee Restaurant. A humble shopfront with a no-frills setup, yet this family-run place has been around since 1872, passed down through three generations! Ordered their roast duck and crispy pork rice — the kind that hits with that perfect balance of smoky, savory crunch — along with a fish maw and crab meat soup that was rich, silky, and comforting. Washed it all down with an ice-cold fizzy lemonade that cut through Bangkok’s heat like a small miracle.
