Goldsmith is still one of the top rich and intense boat noodle places. However, lately the taste doesn’t feel as wow as it did when they first opened. Still, they offer a wide variety of noodles and other dishes, and being located in a mall with cool air-conditioning makes it very convenient. Another thing I really like is their braised pork dry rice soup (khao tom haeng) — it’s just as impressive as the noodles. The rice grains are beautiful, soft, and delicious. And every time I go, I always order the grilled meatballs with dipping sauce. The sauce is perfectly spicy and flavorful. The crispy pork cracklings are also fried nice and dry — perfect to snack on with the noodles. Even though it’s not as wow as before, Thongsmith is still the first place that comes to mind whenever I crave boat noodles. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
