We LOVED our stay at Tiki Beach Resort. We had a pool view room which overlooked the sea so we went to sleep and woke up to the sound of the waves! They had lots of activities going on throughout our stay which was nice. We visited during low season but I can imagine this place to be super social in high season. Location is fine, you’re a walking distance to a few shops, bars and restaurants but will need a taxi or bike if you’re looking to go further. All staff were very friendly and helpful too :) highly recommend Service: 5

We had a pleasant stay as long as we were not in our room. There were only dorms left and as our other accommodation was suddenly canceled (other company) we needed to stay somewhere. The service was very good. Super pleasant people and everything was done quick and polite. The food and drinks were also nice and we enjoyed sitting next to the pool and beach. The room however was not good. The bed was not comfortable, the pillow as well. The linnen was sticky and made it feel warmer. The power was broken so half of the day/night the AC was not working. It was unbearable. Then when it all finally worked, our .. roommates (not hotels fault) turned off the AC when we were gone. So when arriving back to sleep the temperature was still 30 degrees as it was the whole day. The shower was proper but the whole bathroom would be wet when showering for 5 minutes. There were no floor towels so everything got messy. Location was fine. So it seems as long as you dont have the dorm it will be fine. But our stay, especially sleeping, was not. Service: 5

The resort was probably once a very special place, mainly because of its rare location directly on the beachfront. However, today it is hard for me to understand how it receives a rating of 8.2. The staff was among the least pleasant I’ve encountered in Thailand, and I have visited the country many times. Both at reception and in the restaurant, the attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. The rooms are very outdated — old wooden windows, doors, and furniture. The mattress was of very poor quality, sunken and noisy with squeaky springs, and I was unable to sleep properly throughout the night. The curtains do not block out the light, so the room fills with daylight very early in the morning. For anyone sensitive to light, this is significant (an eye mask helped slightly, but did not solve the issue). In addition, the hot water pressure in the shower was insufficient. The towels had an unpleasant smell, and the bed linens had a synthetic, almost plastic-like feel that was uncomfortable to sleep on. In my opinion, the place may suit mainly young travelers who only need a basic place to put their head down and are less concerned with room comfort. On the positive side, there is a lively and youthful atmosphere, a clean and pleasant private beach, and a beachfront restaurant with tasty food and great music. For those who mainly care about direct beach access and are satisfied with a simple, standard room, the property may still be suitable.
