The restaurant had a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and took the time to explain the dishes, which I appreciated. The shrimp rice roll and Hong Kong-style wonton noodles were both delicious and satisfying. However, the soup dumplings had a slight floury smell, and overall the food wasn’t served as warm as I expected, which was a bit disappointing. While the ambiance and service were good, the temperature of the food and some aspects of the taste left a little to be desired. Tim Ho Wan Samseong is one of the branches of the well known franchise of the same name. By now most people probably know the story of how the original Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong was started by former ShangriLa dim sum chef and one of the first 'low cost' restaurants to ever be on the Michelin guide. While the taste does dilute from the original as tend to be to case with most franchises, the quality is good enough to still be better than most other dim sum restaurants you'll find in Seoul.
