Amazing experience!! The food was brilliant, particular the Penang curry and the chocolate Fondant. The staff were all so friendly and Renata was hilarious and so attentive. Would 100% recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ฿1,000–1,200

Lives up to its name and the reviews. We visited Charm Samui restaurant just off the busy stretch of fisherman’s village twice this holiday and were blown away by the welcome, the service, the cocktails and, wow, the food! We keep coming back to Thailand and eat Thai food every night, my usual staple being spicy papaya salad. The cocktails were honestly the best we have had here with really interesting takes on the classics. On our first visit we opted for the sharing starter which came with five separate dips pairing with each element of the dish one of which was a refined take on a chicken satay. I had the beef cheeks in jungle curry for main and the spice was just perfect and the meat sooo tender. We couldn’t fit a dessert on that sitting! We came back for more two days later and I had the most interesting Burmese salad featuring fermented tea leaves and crunchy dried pulses and peanuts, and I paired it with a peach fizz cocktail ‘cause I was chasing peach tea vibes with the salad. I then had the papaya salad with confit duck and I was in heaven. The salad famous for its punchy mix of sour, sweet, bitter, savoury and salty flavours paired perfectly with the fragrant unctuous duck meat, and I paired it with the salted caramel old fashioned cocktail. The chocolate fondant desert was gooey and beautifully presented. Our host (a UK masterchef no less) was so welcoming, bombarding the whole restaurant with little treats between courses and kept a gorgeous friendly atmosphere going all evening. Honestly the best experience had here in Thailand. Just over 1200 baht a head including our chosen tip for a starter and main each and a shared dessert with two expertly mixed cocktails each. Xx.
