Disappointing Value at Toast Box (Esplanade Mall) I recently visited Toast Box at Esplanade Mall, and unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. I was looking forward to trying their famous Kaya Toast Set, which includes eggs, Kaya toast bread, and coffee. However, when I saw the price tag of $7.40, I was taken aback. To be honest, I couldn't justify paying that amount for the set. While I can afford it, I couldn't associate the quality and quantity of the food with the price. It seemed like a premium price for a relatively standard breakfast set. In the end, I opted for just a small cup of coffee at $2.40, which was a more reasonable option for me. However, I couldn't help but feel that it was just a normal coffee that you can buy at any coffeeshop, minus the air-conditioned comfort. Given the prices, I would expect a more premium experience or higher-quality ingredients. Unfortunately, Toast Box didn't quite meet my expectations. Rating: 2/5 stars Recommended for: Those who value the ambiance and are willing to pay a premium for it. Tips: - Consider ordering à la carte instead of the set meal to save money. - If you're looking for a quick coffee fix, there are more affordable options available elsewhere.
