We went to have lunch at Tonton Shokudo in Harbour North Plaza. Tonton Shokudo was operating near full capacity when we arrived. We were lucky that a table just left and were able to sit down soon without waiting. As we were four people. We went for 2 Flexi Set for 2. Therefore, we ordered four main dishes and six side dishes. For the main we ordered Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry Rice, Original Tonkotsu Ramen, Black Garlic Saue Tonkotsu Ramen and Pork Cartilage Tontoksu Ramen. For the six side dishes we ordered one dumplings (6 pieces), one fried arms of squid, one tempura squid, one fried pumpkin croquette and two deep fried chicken. For desert, we had one souffle cheesecake and one lemon cheese tart. We had to tell the waiter or waitress our order. They will input it for us. After we were served water. First came the Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry. There was nothing special about the taste. But the pork cutlet was slightly difficult to chew. However, the curry tasted nice and was enough to dip it on the egg and rice to eat together. The noodles we ordered also tasted nice but then again tasted nothing spectacular. What surprised me was the size of the side dishes. The portions of the side dishes were huge. Special mention goes to the size of the deep fried chicken. The deep fried chicken tasted great and was crispy, juicy and tender. The portion of the other side dishes were also abundant. Overall the food came out quite fast and we didn’t need to chase the waiter or waitress for it. They would also refill the water quite promptly after we asked for more water. We were impressed with the overall size of the side dishes. As we couldn’t finish everything we had to take away what was left. They charge you HKD 2 for one take away box. Next time we could go for the Flexi Set for 1 instead of the Flexi Set for 2. Overall rating a 4 out of 5 as this place provides value. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $100–150
