Came across this restaurant on the street level of Pacific Plaza while walking past and browsing their menu. Noticed they were having a 1-for-1 omakase promotion, so we decided to give it a try. Was quite surprised to see the restaurant almost full, especially since it feels very private and you can’t really see inside from the outside. Luckily, we managed to get a seat. Seems like it’s quite a popular spot with those in the know. Food and service were both good, and the promotion offered really solid value. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Torio has remained one of the most well-known omakase spots over the years, despite so many others opening and closing — and for good reason. They consistently bring in seasonal ingredients, including rare items that are not commonly seen locally, especially in their Chef’s Omakase tier where they showcase their most premium and unique dishes. What I appreciate most is that they focus on genuinely good and innovative food rather than gimmicks like gold powder or flashy presentations. The service has also always been excellent and attentive. This has become my go-to place whenever I’m looking for a quality omakase experience.

Just had the most incredible lunch at Torio Japanese Restaurant (Pacific Plaza, 9 Scotts Rd) with Chef Steve at the helm.
