Bib Gourmand: 品質も良くお手頃な価格。

The long lunchtime queue happens for a reason – the noodles here are bouncy and the broth is flavoursome. Only three toppings are offered – springy dace balls, wontons generously filled with pork and shrimps, and sliced beef with a robust meaty flavour and tender texture. You can even choose a combination of any two or all three toppings...

The worst service, severe discrimination, utter disrespect, and traumatizing young children. During our trip to Hong Kong, we visited "Tsim Chai Kee Noodle"with our two young children (one just over a year old and the other over three years old) and experienced the most disappointing and upsetting treatment we’ve ever encountered in Hong Kong. This wasn’t just a bad meal (the taste, to be objective, was truly unpleasant)—it was an assault on our dignity, and what’s worse, it damaged our children’s trust in the world. 1. Double standards and broken promises: Upon arriving, we found the restaurant cramped. To avoid inconveniencing the staff and other customers, I went in alone to ask about seating while my family waited outside with the stroller. The cashier said, "It’s fine as long as everyone is here." Just then, another group of foreign tourists entered, and the host tried to seat them immediately, arguing with me that "not everyone is here yet." After I immediately called my family in, the cashier changed her tune and said, "No, it’s not allowed." 2. Unreasonable restrictions and secondary discrimination: To avoid unsettling the children, we didn’t switch restaurants. When a booth became available, the server imposed a restriction: "You must finish within 30 minutes." Shortly after sitting down, the host asked us to move to a shared table to free up the booth for another group of tourists who arrived later. It was only after I pointed out that a shared table couldn’t accommodate four people that they reluctantly gave up. 3. Pressuring service and unwarranted warnings: While ordering, a male server repeatedly rushed us, creating an intense and uncomfortable pressure that forced us to hurry through our choices. While waiting for the food, our one-year-old child curiously tried to look at items on the table (without touching anything—we had already stopped them). The cashier actually walked over and sternly warned, "You can’t do this," leaving our child immediately frightened and visibly scared. What broke our hearts even more was that our three-year-old kept asking, "Why was that auntie so mean to us?" We understand that restaurants can be busy, and we were always careful to supervise our children. But we cannot comprehend why, at "Tsim Chai Kee Noodle", later arrivals were prioritized, why empty seats couldn’t be used, and why such harshness was directed at young children Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
