お酒を飲みつつ、数品のお料理を頼み、短時間滞在するには良いお店です。内装は成金的でもあり、一歩間違えると下品にもなりかねないです。けれど流石、Black Sheep Restaurantsが経営するレストランだけあって Hong Kongらしさがあります。中華、東南アジア諸国、英国、その他の文化をミックスさせたような雰囲気になっています。2012年にSyed Asim Hussain and Christopher Markが設立したBlack Sheep Restaurantsは今年で10周年。彼らが開業させて消えたお店もあります。しかし長く存在しているCARBONE, LA VACHE! , MOTORINO, BURGER CIRCUSは目まぐるしく変化する香港では検討しているほうでしょう。どんな雑誌でもこちらは好評だが自分が何度も行きたいと思えるようなお料理はありませんでした。当時、住んでいたビル裏にある、地味だけども飽きない料理を出すThe Chairmanのほうが好きでした。

This was one of our most anticipated meals this trip to HK. After a week of eating delicious food in anything from a hole in a wall to semi formal restaurants, Ho Lee Fook was pretty average in comparison. The staff were friendly (and weirdly obsessed with telling us to watch our step), and the decoration interesting if a little intense. Some of the food was very tasty, others not. The chicken wings and prawn toast were great. The char sui was okay, and the beef stir fry was disappointing. To us, the whole experience felt way more Western than we were expecting. Not entirely their fault, but the experience was interrupted by a table next to us complaining about a dish they pre-ordered that there was no record of, and a table of influencers taking out bright lights for 10 minutes every time a dish arrived. Clearly, it was an important table as the head chef was delivering the dishes. Order type: Dine in Price per person: $500+
