Vibey speakeasy izakaya bar in SG food was delish with generous portions, especially their nagoya dry ramen & thick slabs of sashimi despite being known for ume, their other selections of highballs & cocktails also impressed. Big shoutout to the best crew - Matiin, Sanny & Marco! Took great care of our needs and not forgetting to inject some fun & laughter occasionally. I’m always coming back here for my favourite ramen. The service is consistently warm, friendly, and genuinely engaging, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed the moment you walk in, and looked after throughout your meal. Good food & even better vibes! Ume San 100 is definitely a must-visit for umeshu lovers. They offer an impressive range of small-batch, boutique umeshu labels that you rarely see in Singapore. There’s a good variety for all types of drinkers, and even for someone like me who doesn’t usually enjoy very sweet plum wines I was surprised that I ended up drinking quite a bit from the two bottles we ordered. The service was genuinely sincere and professional, especially when it came to recommending and helping us choose the right bottles. The food, however, was a mixed experience. The ramen’s texture was decent; the Angry Ramen had a nice spicy broth, but the dry ramen with minced pork was overly salty and the mince had a noticeably porky taste. The taco missed the mark—the chicken tasted off, as if poorly prepared. The “money bag” dish also wasn’t great; ingredients like the tuna were dry and looked dull. On the other hand, the mentaiko pasta was enjoyable on its own, though the scallop in it was tough and chewy. Surprisingly, the French fries ended up being the favourite dish of the night. Overall, Ume San 100 is excellent for drinks, especially umeshu, and their basic finger foods pair well. The drinks and service shine, while the food menu still has room for improvement. Price per person: SGD 60–70 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
