天井が高く、広い空間で聴くvinyl recordは最高に気持ち良く、リラックスできました。マスターも明朗で優しい方です。また台北に来た時は寄らせて頂きます。

Beautiful jazz, disappointing service — uneven treatment overshadowed an otherwise exceptional night. We visited Vinyl Decision last night out of genuine curiosity and excitement. The space itself is undeniably beautiful, and the live music was exceptional, truly one of the best jazz performances we’ve experienced. It’s clear that the venue has something very special. However, our experience at the door was deeply disappointing. When we arrived, we politely asked if there was space for two. The server assisting guests at the time (a woman with glasses, in pigtails, wearing shorts) responded quite rudely, telling us the place was already full. This was surprising, but we remained respectful and said we were willing to wait outside. At the same time, we observed her warmly assisting another guest, even offering him a seat inside and asking if he was sure he didn’t want to move indoors. The contrast in tone and treatment was difficult to ignore. She then told us firmly that no one would be leaving until 10 PM after the show, implying there was no possibility of seating. Fortunately, a kind guest seated outside pointed out that there were still available bar seats inside and even suggested to the server that we be seated there instead. Only then did she bring us in, albeit with a smirk that felt dismissive. Upon entering, we saw that there were indeed multiple empty bar seats, at least five at the time. This made us question why we were initially refused entry as willing, paying customers. Even more confusing, shortly after we were seated, she proceeded to seat additional guests in those same empty seats she had just told us were unavailable. Throughout the evening, we also observed a noticeable difference in how she treated guests. She appeared significantly more warm and accommodating toward Western guests, while her demeanor toward us felt curt and dismissive. We do not want to jump to conclusions, but the disparity was uncomfortable and difficult to overlook. Additionally, we noticed a young child, who appeared to be her son, seated at the bar area. As someone who also operates an F&B establishment, this raised concerns, particularly in a venue that serves alcohol. To be clear, we truly loved the music and the overall concept of the place. That is precisely why this experience was so disappointing. Jazz, as an art form, brings people together across cultures. We hope that the same spirit of inclusivity and respect can be reflected in the service experience as well. We are sharing this feedback in the hope that it helps improve the guest experience for others in the future.

If the owner’s goal was to create a masterclass in how to ruin an evening, then congratulations—you’ve been incredibly successful. The service is downright offensive. It takes a special kind of 'vision' to have servers barking orders while the performance is ongoing, showing zero respect for the artists or the audience. Between the mediocre drinks and the staff’s blatant rudeness, this 'vibe' is a complete disaster. Avoid at all costs. One star for those amazing performers.
