The dinner was an absolute standout, and I owe a huge thanks to Michael for the recommendation—he really steered us right. Me and my friend have a couples of drinks before we had the 2x250g A5 Wagyu limited-time masterpiece, served alongside crisp salads and fries that provided the perfect balance to the richness. What makes A5 so stunning isn't just the fat at the edges; it’s that incredible interwoven marbling through every single fibre. The experience is surreal—the moment the beef hits your tongue, it doesn’t just feel tender; it literally liquidizes into a rich, buttery umami. Because the melting point is so low, it feels like it’s dissolving in a wash of flavour. We quickly realized that this isn't a steak you drown in sauce. We enjoyed it pure and 'naked,' using only a tiny touch of sea salt to act as a flavour magnifier. That hint of salt was all it took to cut through the decadence and unlock the meat’s natural, nutty sweetness. It was more than just a meal or a regular drinking session. Our first time dining at #WLJK was a great experience. The food was solid, ambience was great and the beers were decently priced. Shoutout to Michael who served us. Super hospitable and friendly, and even took the time to have a little chat with us. My partner and I had a really enjoyable time here and will definitely be back again.
