Bought a loaf of Yamazaki Boulangerie Chaude. Thought I saw the price tag around $2.20. Gave staff $4 and expected change from her, she asked me if i have 80cents which I didn't have coins with me, then she asked me for another $2, and returned me $1.20 in coins. I didn't think too much and left the shop, back home checked the bag, no receipt given. So how much is the loaf? Anyone can advise? $4.80? time bought around 7.20pm at Hillion Mall 09 Apr 26. tried Chocolate Shio pan for the 1st time, its not too bad, like the chocolatey middle but the outer skin layer can be crispier. also currently the texture feels like normal bun. seems like only the shape is shio pan-like. Will be sticking to the chocolate mochis on return visits. Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am writing this review to highlight a food safety concern and the post-incident handling, not to seek compensation. I purchased an An Pan from the Hillion Mall outlet. While consuming it, I discovered a plastic remnant embedded in the bread, which became stuck to my upper palate and had to be manually removed. This was distressing and could have been dangerous, particularly for children or elderly consumers. I reported the incident to customer service with: • A clear written account • Photo evidence • Credit card transaction record (receipt unavailable) While the initial response acknowledged the issue, I was subsequently asked to provide very specific transaction details (exact timing and items purchased) days after the purchase, which is unrealistic for a casual bakery transaction. Despite already providing sufficient proof for identification, the verification process felt overly procedural for a food safety incident. I am not pursuing a refund. My concern is that foreign object contamination should be handled with urgency and customer-centric judgment, rather than placing excessive burden on the consumer to reconstruct purchase details. I hope the company reviews both its quality control and incident handling processes to ensure customer safety is prioritised. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
