Food js good. Meat is tender. Dishes are authentic. Place quite cramp, but not stuffy. Nice place to hang out for beer and chit chat session. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Brought a group of friends here in Jurong East and everyone walked out full and happy. We ordered a bunch of skewers to share and the Beef Skewers and Pork Skewer were the first to disappear. The Pork Belly with Enoki Mushrooms is super fragrant and goes perfectly with beer. Portions are generous for the price and the charcoal grill flavor is strong but not burnt. Staff were patient with our noisy table and helped us pace the food. Ventilation could be a bit better on busy nights but overall great spot for gatherings. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We used to go to another Northeastern Chinese place nearby, but Yan Lai Ju is on another level. The Garlic Roasted Fish is fresher and nicely charred, and the Nourishing Lamb Offal Pot is rich without feeling greasy. I really liked the Dry Pot Organic Cauliflower too, super flavorful. Grilled Tendons were a fun snack and the Zhajiangmian was comforting. Service can be a bit busy at peak hours, but staff stay polite and helpful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
