Visited this place at PLQ for the first time in May. The restaurant immediately caught my attention because it was packed with customers, mostly families with children, which gave the place a lively atmosphere. Their main highlight seemed to be the freshly made pasta selections and pizzas. I ordered the Prawn Aglio Olio set, which came with tater tots and a hot tea without milk. There was also an option to swap the fried sides for salad, which was a nice touch for healthier choices. What I really liked about the restaurant was the natural ambience with greenery, leaves, and tree-themed decor that created a relaxing environment. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout the visit. One female staff member especially stood out because she was constantly smiling and spreading genuinely positive vibes to customers around her. Food-wise, however, the pasta was disappointing for me as the first bite tasted far too salty. The prawn was definitely not the best quality. The tea was enjoyable, and the tater tots were decent. In total, the meal cost about $17.99 including GST. Personally, I felt it was rather expensive for the quality of food served. Overall experience - bad pasta and sad tummy. I loved their 6-inch sourdough pizzas, which are perfect for one person. The kids enjoyed the pizzas much more than the pastas. The desserts are also reasonably priced, and the overall ambience is pleasant and welcoming. Do note that there may be a queue during peak hours. Hawaiian Pizza – My children’s favourite. The 6-inch size is just right for kids, and they loved the combination of flavours. Margherita Pizza – Another favourite of theirs. A classic Margherita done well. Kaya Butter Pizza – More on the sweeter side. Unfortunately, we could not taste much of the butter. Hot Honey Cheese Pizza – I personally preferred this over the Kaya Butter pizza. The sweetness was well-balanced and complemented the cheese nicely. Chicken Pepperoni Pizza – The chicken pepperoni was soft and slightly peppery, which complemented the pizza well. Overall, it was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. Aglio Olio with Chicken – A non-spicy option is available, but it still contains pepper, so it may not be suitable for children who are sensitive to spice. Carbonara – A little too rich, thick, and heavy for our liking. Mushroom Alfredo – My favourite dish of the meal. The flavour was well-balanced, not overly rich, and the creamy, milky taste made it very enjoyable. I would definitely order this again on my next visit. Sourdough Sticks – Very affordable and delicious even without the Nutella dip. Chrysanthemum Goji Berry Gelato – The aftertaste was not to our liking, so I probably would not order this again. Overall, a great place for sourdough pizzas and a family-friendly dining experience. We would happily return for the pizzas and Mushroom Alfredo. The sourdough pizza at RumeL is generally considered good value for money. The crust has a chewy texture with a slight sourdough flavour and lightly charred edges, while the toppings are simple but tasty. The sourdough pizza is exceptional. Overall, it is a good and affordable option for a pizza in Singapore. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
