Definitely in my top three (number one being Hoover Rojak from Whampoa); it’s rare that i can find a rojak that can be on the podium with Hoover. While Hoover’s sauce has more depth, this one still hits the right notes with the inclusion of torch ginger flower and calamansi skin slices and a good balance between savoury and sweet, with just the slightest kick from the chilli. The youtiao and taupok were grilled on the spot and the rojak came with the usual turnip, cucumber, and pineapple but also apple slices; the produce felt fresh and was sweet, not dry nor fibrous. The photo belies the fact that the portion (for both ingredients and sauce) was generous for $4.50. If i really had to nitpick, it would be that more peanut bits could be given and the peanuts could be more fragrant and crunchy. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5

This rojak is a hidden gem in the East. The rojak sauce has that homemade special taste and the best I ever had. Do check with the friendly Auntie what time she closes. Google opening hours timing may be inaccurate. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
