I really wanted to like Root Cafe, but the overall environment made it impossible to enjoy. The moment you walk in, the place smells intensely like chemical detergent rather than freshly brewed coffee, which completely ruins the appetite. To make matters worse, the coffee is heavily overpriced for the quality you actually get. But the biggest dealbreaker for me was the lack of Wi-Fi—it's impossible to get any work done here. On top of that, the staff were incredibly noisy, with employees openly talking on their phones on speakerphone right by the seating area. Overpriced, loud, and poorly managed. Save your money and go somewhere else. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
