Did not accept walking despite being obviously empty for lunch. Told me could only reserve one day in advance..:(. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch

Dear sir, as a sushi restaurant which prides itself on serving quality food and ingredients, we don’t accept walk-ins as we cook the sushi rice and prepare the fresh seafood according to the time the customer arrives. We don’t prepare many things in advance as we strive to serve the best we can to the customers. It is unfortunate that it has caused some misunderstanding for you. We would be glad to welcome you back and delight you with our service and food when you make a reservation with us next time.

Really wonderful experience. Great food, great service. Chef Ono and his team clearly know how to bring out the umami flavour in the dishes and sushi presented. In particular, almost all the sushi items were an explosion of flavour in the mouth (probably due to aging of the fish). Some standouts were the braised octopus, miso yellowtail, sanma sushi, anago sushi, tuna roll, and deep fried sweet potato. One small suggestion would be to perhaps introduce brighter flavors / condiments in the sushi course to avoid overwhelming the palate, although we know that this is a matter of personal preference.
