While this restaurant is bit more expensive than many other Michelin one star restaurants (probably because they use premium ingredients like caviar and lobster) I personally felt that many of the dishes tasted a bit one dimensional. The flavors did not change much from the first bite to the aftertaste, and overall the food felt less layered and memorable than I expected. Another detail that disappointed me was the service presentation. The staff brought all the plates at once on a serving tray, placed the tray beside the table, and then individually served each dish from it. Normally that would be fine, but the tray itself had heavily chipped and worn paint, which did not look appropriate for a Michelin 1-star dining experience. Attention to these small details is part of what defines fine dining, so it was a bit disappointing to see that overlooked. Lastly, the reservation/deposit process through Catch Table also left a poor impression. The system requires customers to place a deposit when booking, then pay again at the restaurant, with the deposit refunded afterward. However, even after 7 weeks, my deposit refund status had still not been updated. When I called, I would have completely understood if they had simply apologized politely for the oversight. Mistakes can happen. Instead, the response felt more focused on explanations and excuses first, rather than taking ownership and resolving the issue professionally. Overall, the ingredients and presentation were refined, but compared to other Michelin 1-star restaurants, I felt the experience lacked some of the depth, polish, and professionalism I expected at this level.
