I am GAGGED this place has 4.9 stars. Based on our experience tonight I would put it at a 1.5 if that. Let me put it this way, when you order a carne asada burrito, you expect that it actually contains a respectable level of meat inside & not just 3 pitiful chunks in both halves. You would also expect the food to be hot!!!! My brother and I took the first bite right after she set the food down and it felt like it had been sitting out for at least 30 minutes. It was cold. We could only taste an overwhelming flavor of wasabi. The meat was kind of sweet? No flavor. And not even hot. Also my margarita drink didn’t even put me at buzz level. PASS. NYC was rolling over at this establishment. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Stumbling upon The Taco Booth in Seongsu felt like finding a vibrant, hidden slice of Brooklyn right in the heart of Seoul, and the entire experience from start to finish was nothing short of impressive. The moment you walk in, the high-energy NYC street taqueria vibe hits you with its colorful neon signs and hip decor, but what really stands out immediately is how impeccably clean the entire space is kept. It’s rare to find a place that feels this "street" while being so well-maintained, and I loved the convenience of the self-bar where everything from extra plates to wet wipes was neatly organized and ready for use. As for the food, you can truly taste the effort that goes into their eight-hour slow-cooked meats; the Birria tacos were an absolute standout, arriving with a deep, intoxicating smoky aroma that set the stage for a perfect bite. The shells had that ideal balance of a rich, slightly oil-crisped exterior and a tender inside, packed with an incredibly generous amount of gooey, melted cheese that stretched with every pull. It was a multi-dimensional flavor experience that felt both indulgent and authentic. The all-meat burrito was another pleasant surprise, especially with the clever addition of oats in the rice which provided a unique, chewy, and nutty texture that I haven’t found elsewhere. The seasoning had a savory, almost bulgogi-like depth to it that felt very comforting and hearty, making it a perfect, filling option for a solid lunch. Every detail, from the friendly service to the meticulously prepared ingredients that have earned them a spot as one of Seoul’s top four taco joints, really explains why this place is so highly regarded by foodies and TV programs alike. It’s the kind of spot where you can tell the staff genuinely cares about the quality of the experience, and whether you're here for a quick bite or a casual hangout, it delivers on every level, leaving you completely satisfied and already planning your next visit.
