(Updated in Nov 2021) Meal budget per person (without drinks) Category 1 (under 60000 KRW, 50 USD) Ongijeong specializes in Japanese home meal and the signature menu is Obanzai, which literally means usual or ordinary meal. The signature menu is limited one and is always sold out soon after its opening. Dong, Bowl of rice served with various toppings can be enjoyed (toppings like Steak, Port, Salmon and Tuna upon choice.) This time, that one with spicy pork is tried as a new menu from the restaurant and it is tasty with generous amount and very good price at 8500 KRW. The dish goes well with Suntory High Ball which also reduces the spiciness of it. Chicken Tang Fry (Garaagye, 8 pieces) is also recommended which is super crispy outside and very tender inside. As usual, the restaurant has a long waiting before I can sit down on the table. Nevertheless, I really enjoy the tasty dishes and also, Prices are also moderate and Staffs are kind and attentive. At 12:00 already, there was a long waiting and I should wait for 40 minutes before I could go into and sat down on my table. At first, I was comfortable with spacious table and chair. Even though the restaurant is not introduced from any of Michelin nor Blue Ribbon Survey, the quality of food was excellent and I really enjoyed the tasty dishes. Prices are also moderate and valet parking is available.
