I was drawn to them by their long history, being one of the pioneers. Their cutlass fish was indeed flavourful and nice but their seafood stew was just average because the seafood ingredients were not the freshest. Swrvuce was good and prompt and the place was spacious and tidy. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000

We chanced upon this restaurant randomly and decided to take a chance. My sister thought that their abalone porridge was the best she had eaten during the trip. I loved the sea urchin soup. Ingredients are fresh and they have a free flow side bar with soup, japchae etc. My dad really liked the japchae. We were seated v quickly, place and toilet were clean, and price is very reasonable. Not a lot of parking lots but we still found lots during dinner time. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

안녕하세요 제주도에서 삼남매를 키우며 제주오성을 운영하는 아빠입니다 여행 중 우연히 들러주셨는데 가족분들 모두 만족하셨다니 정말 감사한 마음입니다 전복죽, 성게알탕, 셀프바 반찬까지 하나하나 세심하게 남겨주신 후기 덕분에 큰 힘이 됩니다. 특히 아버님께서 잡채를 좋아하셨다는 부분에서 괜히 웃음이 나네요ㅎㅎ 제주 중문 맛집으로 찾아주시는 분들이 편안하게 식사하실 수 있도록 음식 맛뿐 아니라 매장 청결과 분위기까지 늘 신경쓰고 있습니다. 제주 서귀포 맛집, 제주 중문 아침식사 찾으시는 가족분들이 부담 없이 든든한 한끼 드실 수 있도록 앞으로도 정성껏 준비하겠습니다. 소중한 여행 시간 속 제주오성을 선택해주셔서 감사합니다. 다음 제주 여행에서도 가족분들과 꼭 다시 뵐 수 있길 바라겠습니다

I stopped by Jeju Osung Traditional Restaurant in Seogwipo, and honestly, the experience still sticks with me. This place truly deserves its reputation as one of the standout 중문 맛집 and a real 제주도 갈치조림 맛집. It felt different from most restaurants I visited during my time in Jeju. The moment the dishes arrived, the aroma alone pulled me in. The braised hairtail had a clean, delicate taste with no trace of fishiness. The spicy stew—often overwhelming at other places—was balanced, warm, and layered here. It felt intentional, like someone really thought through how each flavor should support the next. Even the banchan complemented the meal, nothing felt like filler. What made the experience even better was the atmosphere. Bright space, calm energy, and staff who paid attention to details. They even helped debone the fish without me asking, a small gesture that said a lot about their care. I tried several well-known spots around Jeju during my trip, but this restaurant genuinely stood out. There’s a certain mix of flavor, setting, and hospitality that made me understand why Jeju locals take pride in their seafood. If you’re looking for something authentic, memorable, and rooted in Jeju’s character, I highly recommend this place.
