Passed by this bunsik shop at the other day and smelled the twigim freshly made. It smelled so good so we decided to give a dine in visit. Ordered a portion of oden, twigim, tuna kimbab, and tteokbokki. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are so reasonable. The twigim has 4 types of fry: gimmari, sweet potato, veggie pancake, and fried battered squid. The odeng broth is warm, delicious, and comforting. The tteokbokki is soft yet still chewy, super satisfying and easy to eat, also the sauce sesasoning is just right, a little bit spicy and not too sweet, definitely make you come back for another bite. Also the kimbab is packed with ingredients, has a great taste of sesame oil and the rice is tasty. We are a group of 3 people polished off all the food with a satisfied tummy. Though we are foreigners and a little bit scared to speak, the lady gave us a menu paper (written in hangeul, thanks google translate for helping us out). Wrote the quantity of our orders, prepare the money, gave the menu and the money to the lady, and off she goes preparing our order. No words spoken between us but she clearly get her job done and we get pleased by the tasty food. Meal type: Other Price per person: ₩1–10,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Don't mind the rude comments in the reviews! I came here on a cold Spring late night, the shop is open and the snacks display were still steamy and fragrant. As I walked by it's definitely inviting and luring you in. The atmosphere feels simple and homy as I sit down, there's free water dispenser available, and ready cutleries as well as napkins. The elderly lady who runs the shop alone hardly speaks a word to us (foreigners with little to no Korean spoken) but gets the job done: gives the menu to with price list and quantities to jot down, the rest is for you to figure out yourself. Which, as a traveler, should be more than capable of. The menu consists of simple Korean street food snacks such as Tteokbokki, Kimbap, Ramyeon, Twigim, Mandu, etc as well as a stock of alcohol like Soju. If you're fluent enough in local lingo you can place your order right away, if not you can hand your menu list and the payment—prepare the right amount to save the hassle. I ordered Tteokbokki (rice cakes and odeng in thick spicy sauce), Twigim (fries), Odeng (fish cakes in savory fish broth) and Tuna Kimbap (rice rolled wrapped with seaweed with various contents). Every single menu is pleasant, from the aesthetics that appetize you, the fragrance, and the portion is more than fulfilling! I came only for snacks, but I went home to the warmth of Korean simple hearty food and flavorful delight on my tastebuds. ¹ Tteokbokki is wonderful, chewy and the sauce seeps to the cakes. It's not too soft unlike some other places. ² Odeng broth is wonderful, clear and hearty. You get some leek slices to go with it, giving some fresh crispy feel with each bite of the rice cake. ³ Twigim has various contents, such as fried gimmari, fried squid tentacles, fried vegetable cakes and fried sweet potatoes, cut into smaller pieces enough to share for 2-3 as a snack. The frying was quick but enough to give the crisp. I love the batter taste! It doesn't ruin the contents of each fries. ⁴ Kimbap looks amazing straight from the serving. The size is humongous compared to the ones in convenience stores. It tastes fresh, the rice is sweet and sticky, it blends well with the tuna and other vegetables inside. So worth the price! I would definitely recommend going here as it's easy to access from Dongmyo Station Exit 6, a shelter warm enough, and everything you need to eat in Korea in one place! I keep trying to say thank you to the lady who runs the place, but she never said anything, I just hope she knows she's doing wonders to my life with her food. I dont know why there is so many low rating in this restaurant. I order gimbap, tteokbeokki, ttwiegim, and odeng, and all of them are so good. The best tteokbokki I've ever had. The service was also good, no scolding, and everything was fine. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
