What a rare find! Abyss is the kind of bar you treasure. There is no menu; you just come in and tell Ivan what you like, and he uses his encyclopaedic knowledge of whisky to find you something delicious that matches your budget. If you’re a whisky/whiskey drinker you’ll be delighted by the range and the rare drops on offer to sip and savour. If, like me, you’re not a fan of many, and don’t know much about them, he’ll still find you something to enjoy in a highball with a crisp soda water. Go treat yourself to a visit to Abyss soon. We’ll definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $250–300 Wheelchair accessibility: There may not be a lift; but possibly only stairs. Two flights up.

Abyss is a great bar to visit regardless whether you’re new to whisky or a whisky maniac. It has a wide range of whisky selections, including their own IB whisky. Their owners are very friendly, easy-going and knowledgeable, and will guide you through different whiskies to help you enjoy the evening. A must-go bar in HK! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
