Centrally located and partnered with a concept clothing store, alchemist coffee was surprisingly quite bland, especially after having read the reviews left here. It was decent in quality but did not have a body that gave any impression upon tasting. Recommend only coming here in a pair and not in any larger group than that. Can't complain about the friendly service. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I stopped by Alchemist at Funan for an iced latte with oat milk and found it to be a solid option if you want a quick coffee while you are out and about. This is definitely more of a grab and go place rather than somewhere I would choose to sit and stay for a long time, but for a fast stop it does the job well. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. My coffee was prepared quickly, so I appreciated how easy and efficient the whole experience was. When you just need something simple and reliable without a long wait, that is a real plus. The coffee itself was okay, but not amazing. For me it was probably around 3 out of 5. It was perfectly drinkable, but it did not quite have the flavour or smoothness I was hoping for. That may have been partly due to the brand of oat milk used, although I cannot say for sure. It just did not come together quite as well as I expected. What I really liked most was the atmosphere and overall concept. The space feels very cool, clean and minimalist, and I thought it was a very interesting idea to have the coffee shop sharing a space with a clothing store. It gave the whole place a more distinctive and stylish feel than a standard mall coffee stop, and I liked that a lot. A small thing, but I do think it would have been nice to be given a straw with the iced latte. Overall, Alchemist Funan is worth a visit if you want a quick coffee in a very stylish setting, with friendly service and fast preparation, even if the coffee itself was only average for me.
