went after being recommended by a friend who really likes their pasta. menu had a wide variety of options. decided to order stockpot chicken, pork focaccia, truffle fries and iced chocolate. every dish was done well. portions were decent, presentation of food looked great and tasted even better. props to them for being able to execute several dishes well! the truffle fries were so tasty, the iced chocolate gave a very strong but pleasant sweet taste, and the chicken and pork were both very delicious. the aesthetic of the place was beautiful too and the atmosphere was nice. for my second visit, we decided to try the salmon soba bowl and double beef burger. the salmon was seared to perfection and was very crispy, the soba was not bad and the onsen egg marinated all the flavours together, though i feel that the tar tar sauce didnt quite match well with the other contents in the dish. as for the beef burger, despite not being a fan of beef, i decided to order and try it anyway and it did not disappoint. the beef was delicious and very juicy, and the crisp cut fries were very crispy and tasty too. overall, both my visits were very enjoyable and left a very good impression on me. despite having been to dozens of cafes as an avid cafe hopper, this one easily shot up to one of my favourites. will definitely visit again soon. had brunch here and found the food to be quite average/sub par despite the high price point, nothing particularly yummy and worth shouting out. also ordered the iced matcha latte with oat milk that came out to $9.10 which is expensive AND was not even good it was incredibly grainy and had barely any matcha taste, it just tastes like a glass of diluted milk - super gross, when we all took a sip to try it we were seriously appalled at how unpleasant it was. wouldn’t come back nor recommend, but i guess the french toast was probably the nicest item! Apollo Coffee Bar 65 Serangoon Garden Way. Singapore 555961 Location / How to get here? ********************************. It's best to take a bus here & alight at Serangoon Garden Circus bus stop. Because the nearest train station is far away. ️ Buses that stop here are = 73, 136, 315 and 317. This casual bistro cafe, which opened in Nov 2019, is nestled in a row of shophouses ️ in the same row as Pow Sing Chicken Rice shop. Decor / Ambience *************************. The cafe features a Scandinavian-inspired interior with warm wooden elements & a palette decor of earthy hues. Key features include a large, irregular-shaped communal wooden table, stylish bar stools and chairs, and potted plants. The space incorporates grey/ white walls and a mix of seating types. The air-conditioned backyard area features a skylight area and a retro spiral stairway. Food ***********. My hubby and I ordered these: Two cups of hot cafe latte at SGD5.30 per cup. Italian Sausages at SGD4.60 / 2 pieces. Scrambled Eggs at SGD4.80 Hot Cafe Latte (SGD5.30 each). ️ Both cups were customised to a single shot of espresso.︎ The cafe latte was mild, creamy & smooth, making it easy to drink with no bitterness nor sharp acidity. Scrambled Eggs (SGD4.80) ️ The scrambled eggs were soft, creamy and well-cooked, with a rich texture. Italian Sausages (SGD4.60 for 2 pieces) ️ The Italian sausages were juicy and flavourful, seasoned with herbs and spices, and nicely browned on the outside, making them savoury and full of umami.
