Had a wonderful meal here can highly recommend the tasting menu. Loved how much veg there was in the first four starters. The carrots were a highlight and the broccolini and fish were fantastic too. I wish I could’ve had 4 plates of the “carbonara”. The addition of the squash was really special. The striploon main was also excellent and cooked perfectly. And that matcha “bread pudding” to finish. Divine. Service absolutely matched the food which is to say it was faultless. Lovely wine selection too. Would definitely beeline it here the next time I’m I. HK. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Although the food was good, I do believe what needs to stand out among restaurants not only involves food, but especially service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we had at BRUT! which we were very excited for. I had made a reservation 1.5 weeks prior, but when we arrived on time, they told us we would still need to wait for our table as there were still guests finishing up their dinner. Not only did we have to wait for our table (around 15 min more) but they seated us right next to the door which I was quite surprised by given that I had made this reservation 1.5 weeks in advance. In addition, when I made the booking, I specifically put in their option of "special occassion" and "birthday" but nothing special was done for the occassion, which is fine, but a bit underwhelming and I would suggest not to have that as an option to select from. Perhaps it was a busy evening for them, but definitely open to give it a second go as the food was delicious. Price per person: HK$250–300 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
