Nice place for dinner. Especially more worth now with grab dine out deal of 15% off. Generous with their ingredients, each bowl is filled to the brim. Had the fish and pork bowl noodles and it was delish. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20

Great ambience and nice decor - cozy, clean, and comfortable for a casual meal. Good spot in the East for solid, no-frills Vietnamese. Service staff are warm and hospitable. Food is authentic and tasty. Proper Vietnamese flavors, fresh herbs, and generous portions. Pho and vermicelli were spot on. Spring rolls are very delicious and crispy. I have travelled to Hanoi extensively and have developed a discerning taste for bun cha. I have tasted many bun cha dishes and it's variants outside of Hanoi, but none could taste as delicious and authentic as the ones found in the back alleys of Phố Hàng Quạt. So my search for the perfect bun cha continues and when I discovered Bac Viet and that it sells bun cha, I decided to give it a shot. And I have to say it is a very solid serving of bun cha. The broth is perfect in its savoury and a mix of sweet and sour. And the first hit of the broth, that freshness and invigorating hit on your taste buds is a high that I always look for with the Bac Viet bun cha. The herbs provided are practically freshly plucked off the ground. The meat in the bun cha is air fried and tastes healthy, and the only criticism I have of the meat is that it lacks the smoky taste of a back alley charcoal barbeque meat. Nevertheless the healthier air fried option is as solid as any other. Every bite I take reminds me of a late afternoon lunchtime rush in Hanoi amidst the hustle and bustle of the streets in the Old Quarter. The meal, when washed down with their hot herbal tea is makes it a perfect meal. The cà phê muối is another highlight, and I am so glad they have the less sweet option. I have been coming to Bac Viet regularly in 2025, and I sincerely hope they will continue to operate in 2026 and beyond! Take note that the place gets super crowded on weekends during dinner time, so, if you're like me, and prefer a quiet slow place to eat, then come during odd hours where it's slower and you can really soak in the atmosphere.
