Carmela has a lovely, intimate atmosphere that is perfect for date nights or after-work hangouts. The Sourdough Fougasse is an absolute must-order—perfectly chewy with a rich garlic aroma that I’m still craving a day later! It pairs wonderfully with the Mackerel Tarama, though the dip is rich enough to slightly overshadow the bread's garlic flavor. The Tiger Prawns were another highlight, wrapped in a layer of melting Italian lardo—a rare find in HK—that adds incredible depth to the dish. We also had the Wagyu Skirt Skewers with salsa verde, which were wonderfully flavorful and refreshing, while the lemon-infused Half Yellow Chicken was incredibly tender. My favorite side, however, was the Potato Gratin—beautifully layered, crispy, and packed with flavor. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a really nice lunch at Carmela The food was genuinely good and the lunch menu is reasonably priced, especially for this part of Central! I really appreciated that it wasn't overly crowded or frantic like a lot of other lunch spots nearby, making it a much more relaxing break. Tomato mozzarella salad was fresh and beautifully made, though I completely forgot to take a picture before diving in. Definitely a solid, stress-free spot for a midday meal. Will be back!
