The server (a middle age/older gentlemen) was incredibly hostile and rude to me throughout the duration of my lunch on Saturday. I had already ate lunch and was merely accompanying my friend to eat here. Upon informing him I would not be ordering, he made comments about my body, calling me “so skinny” and demanding I order. (I ended up getting a drink) He proceeded to purposely push all the appetisers to my friend’s side and announce I was not allowed to eat any (like jeez old man get a grip..) When he delivered my friend’s food, he further made annoyed and hostile comments such as “what even is there to eat in CWB??” in a very rude tone, tsking at me. Throughout the lunch, he would glare at me, especially when I tried a bite of my friend’s food. This experience was very uncomfortable and it was not worth the mediocre food. Had dinner at Da Hwa Won in Sheung Wan and shared their amazing hot pot. Portions were very generous – definitely one of those meals where no one leaves hungry. Great value for money. The restaurant itself isn’t the most charming and it was freezing when we first arrived, but once they turned off the aircon it was at least more comfortable. Overall, if you’re looking for a hearty Korean hot pot at a good price (and don’t mind a simple setting), this is a solid choice. I would go back Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $150–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
