It's my hubby's birthday and some of my colleagues recommended this place, so decided to come here with my parents. For 4 pax, we ordered: 1. 2 crabs @ $40 (promo) - lesser of sweet but savoury and spicy - meaty crabs 2. Pumpkin Beancurd - not salty - soft and smooth beancurd 3. Trio Egg Spinach - soup stock was good - tender vegetables - taste wise just right 4. Champagne Pork Ribs - flavourful enough - not sure if its the type of pork used, it can get little tough when bite into it 5. Mantou - crispy and fluffy when bite and dipped into crab sauce Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The CNY reunion dinner was a letdown. There were many hidden charges on the actual day which was not communicated to us upfront. Such as braised peanuts, Chinese tea and wet tissues. Refer to the attached receipt. They deliberately put 3 plates of peanuts on our table. The total cost came up to almost $1,000 for 10 pax reunion dinner. It’s very expensive for this location. The dishes were similar to cze char except this is an air conditioned restaurant. There was a shortage of manpower. The lo hei was done manually. At times, we had to change plates and refill tea by ourselves. We will not be going back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Diamond Kitchen isn’t new in the SG F&B scene. Having patronized their Marine Parade branch, I know the standard of their food wouldn’t go too wrong. We came to the Science Park branch as it’s nearer to home to celebrate my dad’s birthday and am glad he loved the food. We ordered everything in medium size and while portion was decent, strong suggestion if you have more than 10 pax to go with the large instead. Let’s see what I ordered: 1. Champagne Pork Ribs 4.5 / 5 2. Three Eggs Chinese Spinach 4 / 5 3. Pumpkin Bean Curd 4.5 / 5 4. Superior Chicken Soup 3.5 / 5 (nice but the mushroom used causes the soup to have a strong after taste) 5. Salted Egg Sotong 4 / 5 6. Spicy Garlic La La 3.5 / 5 (Not as spicy as I expected) 7. Ginger Spring Onion Pork 4 / 5 8. Braised Pork with Bun 4.5 / 5 Added a 寿桃包 as last item. Overall, taste is good and price average ard $32 per pax. Only thing is the sitting arrangement. Their table are sized based on 10 pax; anything more than that and you are likely to be very cramp. This is even when I have two primary schooler amongst my table. Imagine 12 full size adults and you would be in a “tight spot”. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
