検索していて偶然発見し、気になって訪問しました。安いし、早いし、美味しいし、で満足でした！こういうお店が自宅近くに欲しいです、、、。. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

ordered 5 dishes. 1) milk powder pork ribs - interesting.. first time trying and i kinda like it but if you don’t have a sweet tooth, can skip this. 2) coffee pork ribs - coffee smell is strong but not much coffee taste, my 6yo son enjoyed it. pork ribs are not fatty but not too dry and hard as well. 3) garlic kailan (?) - taste ok but it’s a rather small plate. 4) enoki beancurd - tastes ok but pretty disappointed with the portion - 6 small rectangular pieces of beancurd and perhaps only 1/3 of a packet of enoki in those typical hot plate beancurd style of gravy. 5) cereal prawn - kind auntie asked if we prefer it to be deshelled which we happily agreed because #wearelazy. also taste mediocre, nothing fantastic. total: $74 for 3A2C. the most disappointing thing was that we came here specially for cockles yet. not available today oh well better luck next time (if there’s any, LOL) oh if anything, i must commend ok the speed the dishes were served. all except the coffee ribs which were added on last came within 10min from ordering ?!!!? at 7.10PM!! at least we weren’t hangry Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Visited Two Chefs Eating Place at Commonwealth and it absolutely lived up to its reputation for honest, flavourful zi char. We ordered their famous coffee ribs and the XO fish slice hor fun, and both dishes were standout favourites. The coffee ribs were fragrant the moment they arrived at the table, a perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and slightly bitter notes from the coffee coating. The meat was tender and came off the bone easily, with a caramelised glaze that made every bite addictive. It’s clear why this is their signature dish; it’s unique yet comforting. The XO fish slice hor fun was equally impressive. The wok hei was strong, the hor fun silky, and the XO sauce added a beautiful depth without overpowering the dish. The fish slices were fresh, thick, and perfectly cooked, complementing the savoury gravy so well. My only gripe is the fish has a 土味. It’s one of those dishes that feels simple but is executed with real skill. Service was fast and efficient even though the place was busy, and the overall experience felt very local, lively, and satisfying. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions. If you’re looking for classic zi char with standout flavours, Two Chefs at Commonwealth is definitely worth the trip. I’ll be back!
