Our fav place to have delicious local delights like fried beehoon, nasi lemak, longtong, fried chicken wing etc. Dino's is also known for their cakes and pastries. Recently the eatery added a self-ordering machine and app. Helps a lot if you like to remove/add certain ingredients or opt for less oil or salt. Parking can be a challenge but it is conveniently located at the exit of Upper Thomson MRT. Always back for more! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

My late hubby’s go-to place for comfort food and cakes. He would get the Swiss Rolls during my pregnancy; then we wld take our little boy for their lasagne who loved it. My late hubby loved the durian puffs; those were the last of the pastries he bought before he went to heaven; puffs I kept frozen as a remembrance of his love till nowBut today, I was there to try their Carbonara. I thought it would be cooked with a creamy sauce but it didn’t. No doubt the mushroom slices and bacon slices were quite visible, but it was a disappointment. This could be passed off as an aglio olio. The lady boss has probably retired as now the current service crew don’t quite serve with a heart anymore. If ever I were to dine there, it would probably be one of those times I would be missing the times I have had with my late hubby. Other than that, that spark or the taste is different now. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: A dish or two.

Once you come out of Exit 4, you can see Dino Cafe rightaway. ️Very convenient to get to. Decor / Ambience ********************* The interior decor of Dino Cake House & Cafe is simple & functional, with an old-school, nostalgic ambience. The decor style is simple and unpretentious, giving it a homely, old-school feel. ︎ The cafe space features basic white tables & chairs, glass display counters for cakes & savoury pastries, and biege coloured tiled flooring. -- It has air-conditioning for comfort. Takeaway food ********************** Sugar Roll / SGD1.30 each Cherry Cup Cake / SGD1.50 each Mee Siam ( Large) at SGD7 Chicken Pie / SGD4.20 Mushroom Soup / SGD4.50 Garlic Bread / SGD3 ( -- 3 pieces) All the food items are well crafted & have a retro home quality. ︎The Sugar Roll cake is soft, fluffy and tender. The Cherry Butter Cake is moist and buttery. The Mee Siam was truly a wonderful surprise! It tasted very much like what my Peranakan Baba relatives, mum and aunts used to cook. Very delicious and has a nostalgic quality to it. ️ The mee siam gravy has a bit of santan ( ie coconut milk) added to it. The Mushroom Soup was a tad thin and watery, but the toasted Garlic Roti made up for it. ️ The hearty Chicken Pie was scrumptious too. Service ************ Two Myanmar young ladies attended to me at the cashier's counter. ️ I ordered and paid by Nets. ️ Credit Cards is not accepted here. ️ Pay by Cash, Nets and other modes of payment. Noe Noe was the helpful & polite girl who packed all my food items for takeaway. She was affable & patient and we had a short chat about the surrounding cafes and district.
