A stall attendant's nonchalant attitude at the Rail Mall outlet irked me. When I showed her a thin layer of oil floating in a cup of coffee that I had bought from her, without even looking at it, she dismissed the claim and unapologetically refused my request for a replacement.

Save your money. I love laksa, but the standards here are incredibly lousy. First of all, they ran out of hum (cockles) during lunch. This isn't a one-off issue either; the exact same thing happened when I tried to visit their Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange outlet on Friday night. Despite the missing ingredients, I still gave the food a chance. Huge regret. The laksa was entirely tasteless. I left the place frustrated and I am definitely never returning. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I would like to feedback on my first experience at Rail Mall outlet on 4 July 2025.. My friends and I visited Rail Mall EAT on 4 Jul and ordered 3 bowls of ba cho mee, 1 plate of carrot cake and drinks. Separately, at around 11:26pm, I ordered Wu Xiang from a lady who spoke in China accent said that it will be ready in 2-3mins and will serve it to me once ready. After 5 mins, on seeing that it was not served, I went over to the counter and checked with a male staff who went to the kitchen to check the progress and said it was not ready yet. I waited another 15mins and since it was not served, I went over to the counter to check with the lady. She raised her voice and harshly told me to wait as the wuxiang needs to be fried! I politely told her not to raise her voice as I was only checking since she mentioned it will be ready within 3mins yet I had waited for more than 15mins. She retorted that I was questioning her. Not wanting to make a scene, I went back to my seat. After 5 more mins, she rang the bell and signal me to collect the WuXiang. It was not worth the wait. The WuXiang was very salty and oily. I would like to feedback to EAT that perhaps staff needs to be trained not to over-promise customers on the waiting time so as to manage customers' expectations. Also, EAT might wish to train staff to handle customers queries in a polite manner. As I regularly patronise EAT, I do hope that my feedback will help to improve good customer service and maintain good customers' dining experience. Thank you.
