Can’t believe it took me so long to try Eleven Strands! Everything we ordered was delicious, and I’d happily make the trip again even though it’s quite far for me. The Tomato Pesto Burrata ($23, +$5 bacon) was delish and flavourful. The pasta was cooked al dente and coated in a well-balanced tomato pesto cream sauce, topped with creamy burrata and juicy cherry tomatoes. We added bacon for extra saltiness, but the dish would still be great without it. The Creme Brulee French Toast ($15) was amazing - super custardy in the middle, crisp at the edges and topped with fruits, a layer of caramelised sugar, passionfruit curd, and berry jams. Easily one of the best French toasts I’ve had, and a steal for the price. We also shared the Truffle Kombu Fries ($10 for small), which were perfectly fried, salty, cheesy, and packed with truffle flavour. Portion size was very generous too.
