We reserved a table for two at Entrepôt Restaurant, located at The Robertson House by The Crest Collection, for the Sizzle & Savour: Steak & Lamb Lunch Buffet. We arrived on time and were promptly shown to our table. The waitress explained how the buffet worked, and we started by ordering one serving each of the medium rare rib eye, striploin, and lamb ribs. Wagyu was available at an additional charge of $18 per serving. While waiting, we explored the cooked food section. The selection was rather limited, and we found ourselves repeating the same dishes throughout the meal. The meats were cooked exactly to our requested doneness. They were tender, juicy, and flavourful, requiring nothing more than a little salt or mustard. Impressed by the quality, we went on to order another four servings of striploin and two more servings of lamb ribs. By then, we were quite full, and the richness of the steaks started to feel a little overwhelming. Ice water was served free flow, while other drinks were chargeable. The waiting time between each serving was short as the restaurant was not crowded. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and cleared our used plates promptly. Our bill came to about $115 for two persons, inclusive of GST and service charge. In my opinion, it was worth the price. Although the buffet spread was not extensive, the quality and portion of the steaks would probably have cost the same, if not more, at an à la carte steakhouse. I would consider returning for special occasions. That said, eating too much steak can get a bit gelak after a while. Overall, it is a decent buffet and worth trying at least once. We had a very nice steak and lamb buffet at Entrepot. The restaurant impressed us the moment we stepped in. The light fittings are pretty, the table runner and table ware are classy. Service was warm and prompt. We were served delicious minced beef meatballs shortly after we sat down. Thereafter, we had our pick of salad, truffle mushroom soup and other cooked food from the buffet line. Not long later, our orders of lamb chops, ribeye steak and striploin steak were served. The lamb chops were tender and the steaks were done just right. We preferred the striploin to the ribeye. We ended our meal with dessert such as Thai mango sticky rice, an interesting Thai milk tea bread pudding and very smooth soy beancurd. All in all, this was an amazing and satisfying experience.
