Cozy little café in Sai Ying Pun with warm lighting and a calm, minimalist vibe — perfect for a chill weekend coffee or casual catch-up. The Tom Yum Scallop Seafood Pasta was a nice surprise: tangy, lightly spicy, and packed with flavour. The scallops were fresh and juicy, and the sauce coated the pasta really well. The Truffle Cream Bacon Mushroom Pasta was rich but not too heavy, with a strong truffle aroma and perfectly cooked pasta. For dessert, the Caramelized Banana Toast with Pistachio Sauce is a must-try — nutty, creamy, and great with the melting vanilla ice cream. Drinks were solid too, especially the refreshing passion fruit “Sunset” and the smooth Banana Avocado smoothie. Great spot to slow down and enjoy good food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Intention Coffee is a new place on High Street in Sai Ying Pun. They have a fair-sized indoor seating area and do take-away as well. Opening hours are 9am to 7pm daily. They do up a selection of typical coffee shop dishes along with traditional coffees and a few non-coffee drinks. I stopped by and was served up a good macchiato with sharp espresso, just a bit of milk to cut the edge and hint of foam for texture. Service was friendly and timely, prices reasonable. Seems like Intention will make a nice contribution to the coffee culture and scene in SYP. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
