I had high hopes for Khaosan Restaurant as the food was actually great—I really enjoyed the Pad Thai and Papaya Salad. The place is comfortable, air-conditioned, and seemed like a good spot to relax. However, my experience was completely ruined by what seemed like a dishonest practice. After asking for the bill and paying in cash, the waiter returned with change but without the receipt. I immediately noticed that the change didn’t seem right. When I insisted on getting the receipt, they came back with the correct change—150 baht more than they initially gave me. This experience left a bad impression, as it felt like they hoped I wouldn’t notice. It’s disappointing when a good meal is overshadowed by questionable service. Be very cautious when dining here and always double-check your bill and change. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿300–400 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we sincerely apologize for the mistake with your change. As a family-run restaurant serving the community for over 20 years, we may be getting older, but that’s no excuse for such an error. We completely understand how this could have left a negative impression, and we deeply regret that it took away from your enjoyment of our food and atmosphere. Please know that honesty is a core value for us, and this was an unfortunate mistake, not intentional in any way. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We truly hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide you with the great experience you deserve, and we would love to welcome you back soon.
