Food is good atmosphere also not bad but the service is rather under expectation. For restaurant at the price I would expect more caring services such as refilling your water and providing napkins. However, my glass was empty for 15 minutes and no one refill for me until I request it. For my afternoon tea my teapot is empty and no hot water was refilled. I would say if this restaurant doesn’t hv stars of Michelin or sth rewarding, it was definitely dragged down by the service. I sincerely hope that the management team would review wt they provide instead of just giving u food with no service. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Other

We came here to celebrate a birthday, and it was exceptional from start to finish. Housed in the former Central Magistracy at Tai Kwun, the restaurant beautifully preserves the original heritage architecture, oozing rich British colonial charm and character. The hospitality was top-notch—warm, attentive, and deeply professional. The owner personally came over to greet us, and upon learning we were interested in the building's history, both the owner and the staff enthusiastically shared stories about its past. It made us feel truly welcomed and at home. Don't let the photos online fool you—while the presentation isn't overly flashy or gimmicky, the food is remarkably solid and flavorful. The Aged Koast Rib of Beef and Woodland Deer Venison Loin were absolute standouts. The meats were exceptionally rich, aromatic, and had a wonderfully tender, succulent texture. A absolute must-try! To cap off the meal, the Crème Brûlée hit the sweet spot for the local palate—striking a perfect balance between rich egg custard aroma and subtle sweetness. A memorable meal in an iconic venue. The Magistracy Dining Room delivers a spectacular sense of occasion without feeling stiff. The atmosphere transports you to another era, and the food—especially the prime rib—was absolutely flawless. What truly elevated the night, though, was Zee. Exceptional hospitality is hard to come by, but Zee strikes the perfect balance of being incredibly attentive, warm, and professional without a hint of pretentiousness. It felt less like standard restaurant service and more like being genuinely looked after. Between the stunning room, the beautiful terrace, and Zee’s world-class care, it was an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
