エッグタルトのお店はたくさんありますが、かなり好みの味でした。お店の方の雰囲気も良し。 冷めても美味しかったので、温かいのも食べたくて2日連続で食べましたが、やっぱり美味しい。 次回も是非食べたいと思ったお店でした。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: HK$1–50

I spotted Marouf & Puff Bake randomly while walking around TST and decided to give it a try. It’s a small takeaway-style bakery with quite a wide variety of puffs and tarts on display, which immediately caught my attention. I tried their classic scone first. Texture-wise, it leaned a bit too dry and slightly tough for me. I usually prefer scones that are more crumbly and light inside, but this one felt denser than ideal. That said, the flavour itself was fine, buttery enough and not overly sweet, just let down by the bake. The more interesting item was the corned beef egg tart. It’s definitely a unique savoury twist on the usual Hong Kong egg tart, and I liked the idea. The flavour combination worked better than expected, slightly salty, creamy, and different from the norm. My only wish was that it had been served warm or hot. It would have lifted the pastry texture and overall enjoyment quite a bit. Price-wise, everything felt affordable, especially given the location in Tsim Sha Tsui where snacks can easily be overpriced. You don’t feel like you’re paying a tourist premium, which is refreshing. It’s not a place you go out of your way for, but it’s a pleasant find if you’re nearby and want to try something a bit different from standard bakery offerings. Good variety, fair prices, and some creative items worth sampling.
