removed 1 perfectly working pos so wait times are longer. no system in queuing and had 3 people cut my queue. when I finally got to the terminal, receipts didn’t print and I didn’t have my order number. I get that you want to maximise footfall and revenue per sq inch, but how capitalistic do we have to be to deny customers a respectful experience. coming here is an insult to what it means to be human. fries were good tho ngl Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at McDonald's - Parkway Centre incident on 4 March 2026 around 12pm. I ordered Chicken McNuggets and dined in with my little boy. I had packed a small portion of steamed rice from home for him, as McDonald’s does not sell rice. My son has special needs, and eating can be very challenging due to sensory issues. The branch manager approached us and asked us to leave because outside food is not allowed. I fully understand that most fast food restaurants have such policies, and I respect that. However, we were dining in and had ordered McDonald’s food. The home-packed rice was only to support my son’s specific needs, not to consume outside food alone. The restaurant was also not crowded at that time. If the place had been full, we would have willingly left. I tried explaining the situation, but the manager insisted that we leave and even told us to go to the hawker centre instead. Other customers became involved in the discussion as the situation did not seem reasonable. He also mentioned that packed food is only allowed for children aged three and below, which I am not aware is an official rule. I do not think it is appropriate to comment in a way that touches on parenting matters. I have been coming to this branch for almost three years while fetching my son from school in the same building. I have seen others in similar situations without issue. We have also done the same lunch arrangement over the past few months without any problems from other managers. In fact, there is a lady manager who has always been friendly and considerate when approaching us. This manager appears to be new to the branch and was very inconsiderate in handling the situation. He was smiling sarcastically during the exchange, which felt rude and dismissive. The whole experience felt discriminatory and was very upsetting. I hope the management can review this incident and provide better guidance on handling situations involving children with special needs, with more empathy and understanding. Meal type: Lunch
