Tried their Signature Cheesy Crispy Chicken Onigiri. The size was decent and the Onigiri was really good! Chicken was tender and crispy and the sauce went well with it. Adding on the cucumbers, luncheon meat and tamago egg, it was quite a hearty meal! Also really appreciate that the price on the menu is the final price - no GST or service charge! That said, the meal preparation takes a while. I had to wait almost 30 minutes on a weekday lunchtime despite only having (I think?) 4 or 5 people ahead of me. Being a tiny takeaway-only shop, waiting outside in the hot weather can also get uncomfortable, though there are seats. Still, a banger price for an excellent meal. Will absolutely come back! First time trying, looks good and set meal is a decent price. Free tote bag for review, so cute. Update: took 5-10mins to get so waiting time is not bad. Very tasty and more filling than expected, the tater tots and food was all fresh, ice lemon tea was good too. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Opened for just a couple of months, @mr.onigirisg started out as a home based business last year. It was mainly a take-away joint and have a bench outside their stall for customers to have a quick bite. We ordered few foods through their owner’s recommendations. Their onigiri was packaged nicely and neatly in a paper wrap, generous in ingredients. It was prepared freshly on the spot, with the rice soft and chewy. Spam was flavourful while cheesy crispy chicken was cheesy and crispy. Otak was spicy and smooth, going well with the rice. Karaage was fried till juicy and chewy while cheese fingers was very cheesy and crispy. Their flower tea were cooling an healthy, with a lot of health benefits. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
