We visited Nora Beach Club on a Sunday during the day, hoping to enjoy brunch and relax. Since it was low season, the venue was very quiet. We were told that their Sunday brunch events would only start on May 31, so brunch was not available yet. We rented a large sofa. The sofa itself cost 500 baht, and there was a 4,000 baht minimum spend requirement. Unfortunately, it started raining shortly after we arrived, so we could not use the sofa at all. The staff kindly moved us to the bar area and allowed the full 4,000 baht minimum spend to be used for food and drinks instead. The venue itself is beautiful, with stylish design, a large indoor area, and plenty of staff around. Service was attentive and friendly. We ordered burrata salad and ceviche, which were both good. However, the latte was disappointing. It tasted diluted, almost like instant coffee, with very little foam and not much flavor. The biggest issue came with the octopus dish. My friend found a very long hair in the mashed potatoes. We showed it to the staff, and they took the plate away. About 30 minutes later, they brought a replacement dish with double the octopus portion, which was appreciated. However, no discount, compensation, or goodwill gesture was offered. To be honest, in many other countries, finding such a long hair in a dish would likely result in the restaurant removing the item from the bill or offering some form of compensation. Here, the only solution was replacing the dish. At the end of the meal, we still had about 1,000 baht remaining from our minimum spend. We were told it could not be refunded because the payment had already been processed by card. Instead, we were required to spend the remaining balance on food or drinks. By that point, after the kitchen issue, we honestly did not feel like ordering anything else. Nevertheless, we returned later and ordered a salami pizza to use the credit, but unfortunately the pizza was not very good either. The venue looks beautiful, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff are polite. However, the kitchen quality control and the way the situation was handled left us disappointed. For that reason, I can only give 2 stars. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ฿2,000+ Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
