An Exercise in Overpriced Mediocrity and Hostile Hospitality. While I am fundamentally more than willing to pay a premium for an exceptional culinary experience, my recent visit to City Shawn Haus was a profound and entirely avoidable disappointment. To address the gastronomic aspect first: the food is decidedly pedestrian. Served in remarkably ungenerous portions, the dishes fail to leave any positive impression, rendering the entire menu egregiously overpriced. It is a masterclass in charging exorbitant fees for stark mediocrity. However, the absolute nadir of the evening was the unequivocally abysmal service. The waitstaff exhibited a demeanor that was not merely unprofessional, but actively condescending and presumptuous. Rather than basic hospitality, one is subjected to a patronizing attitude that fosters a pervasive sense of discomfort throughout the meal. Furthermore, there was a distinct, inescapable impression that European patrons are fundamentally unwelcome in this establishment. In conclusion, this was a thoroughly regrettable endeavor that I would have gladly spared myself. If you value a respectful atmosphere, professional service, and culinary integrity, I strongly advise giving this restaurant a wide berth. A definitive non-recommendation—steer clear at all costs. I recently dined here, and overall the food was good. However, the service was extremely disappointing. The servers were consistently unfriendly—they placed our plates down very roughly and spoke to us in a cold, dismissive manner. As a foreigner who has lived in Hong Kong for over two years, I understand that the local service culture can be more direct than in some other places. Even taking that into account, this was by far the worst service I’ve experienced for a restaurant at this price point and with this kind of atmosphere. After reading other reviews, I noticed many people had mentioned the same issue, so it seems our experience wasn’t an isolated one. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: HK$300–350

My Family and I Celebrated our New Year 2025 Celebration at Sichuan House.. The Food is Amazing. The Place has a view of the Harbor making it an ideal spot for viewing the Fireworks.
