フレンチトーストみたいのを食べました。 おいしかったです。 半熟卵を割る時に手が汚れます。 ティッシュがほしかったですが、テーブルにはないようなので持参するのがいいかと思います。. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Was craving for kaya toast, so I went online to look for some of the best spots and Tong Ah Eating House came up as one of them. Naturally, I headed down to satisfy that craving. But I was honestly beyond shocked by what I saw. I watched how the French toast was being prepared in advance, bread dipped into egg mixture, then placed into the usual red plastic bags and stored in the fridge. I understand the need for efficiency in busy kitchens, but food safety should never be compromised. Not all plastic bags are meant for direct food contact, especially with wet ingredients like egg. This isn’t about attacking any place, but more about raising awareness. What happens behind the scenes matters just as much as what’s served on the table. As customers, we trust that our food is handled safely. Hoping this encourages better practices and more mindfulness across the board. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hello Stella thanks for reaching out and raising your concerns. We prep these with red pp bags that are graded as food safe for cold food. This is also for one time use, where post usage, we will throw the bags away. Please rest assure that we will keep within food safety for all our loyal customers. Thank you.
