Great value for money: a 378 lunch set teppanyaki course enjoyed in peace. I splurged on extra A5 wagyu—absolutely worth it. Be aware that there are two teppanyaki rooms, so your view and ambiance may vary While service was acceptable, the staff did seem weary. It was luckily quiet during my visit, and you can probably walk in on a weekday. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $500+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Nobe is a teppanyaki restaurant in Tin Hau with a good view of the Victoria Harbour. The dining area is divided into a sushi bar and 3 teppanyaki rooms. The minimum charges are set as HK$10,000/big room (max. 10 guests) and HK$80,000/small room (max. 7 guests). The only big teppanyaki room can be joined with its adjacent smaller room to form an area perfect for a small party of 17 people, especially enjoyable when there are fireworks. Servers are welcoming and accommodating. Corkage is very reasonable at HK$150 for a bottle of 720ml sake or 750ml wine, and HK$ 300 for a bottle of 1.8L sake or double magnum wine. Guests are welcome to pre-set their own custom-made menu. Highly recommend the fresh and sweet Hokkaido Taraba King Crab, and the A5 Kagoshima Wagyu Sliced Beef which melts in your mouth. Highlight of the dinner is the gigantic zebra mantis shrimp with running roe, which is fresh, creamy and crunchy!
